If you are not sure what kind of notarization you need, contact the document drafter or receiving agency to confirm what notarial act they require before you visit us (or any other notary!). If in doubt, you may contact a lawyer for advice.
Ahh good question. Laws. By law, you as the signer must tell me, the notary, what type of notarization you need. We can describe to you what the primary notarial acts are but cannot recommend one over the other. It is illegal for a Notary Public to give advice like this unless they are also a licensed attorney.
No. I am not, but I can recommend one if needed for legal questions regarding what you are signing if needed.
No, I did not tell you what you need or what form you have. By law I cannot. See Question 2. I simply put a brief explanation on the most common types of notarial acts.
No, I cannot marry you, I'm already married, but I am flattered. Thanks. I can marry you and someone else. This statute is only in the state of Florida, meaning if you want to get married in GA or other states, I cannot marry you, only here in Florida. Besides beach weddings are awesome...prepare to sweat.
You pick the place, or both agree on a mutual location, and here I come with my stamp, seal and self to you. Joking aside, yes, I come to you. I can also provide services in hospitals, nursing homes, other health facilities, commercial entities and yes, even in your dreams :) Kidding about the dream part, but seriously, I come to you.
A loan signing agent is a notary who is certified to attend & perform loan signings in states (Like Florida) that do not require an attorney for the closing. We work for the lenders and title companies. We are not mortgage brokers or such, nor can we offer opinions or advice on your loan documents, we are here for you to sign the papers. Only a financial entity or title office can request these signings.
Generally, with an "I Do' at the end...I hope.
In the state of Florida, a notary public is allowed to serve as a wedding officiant (only 3 states can do this!). The couple first has to obtain a marriage license from an authorized Florida official. Go to your county clerk's office to get this, make sure you both bring identification and payment which will vary depending on your county (avg cost $94). This license is valid for 60 days, meaning get the deed done within 57 days. Why 57? There is a 3-day waiting period after issuance. Wedding Day! my performance includes having possession of your marriage license, which cannot be expired or pre-signed. Then I go ahead determine consent between both parties (no one wants to be forced), then we can go ahead with the ceremony. When it's all said and done, I complete your certificate of marriage, have both parties sign, along with any witnesses you may have. I then return the completed marriage certificate to the county clerk's office within 10 days of completion and in a few weeks the newlyweds will get their official copy in the mail. My job is done and off you go into wedded bliss.
This is a hard question to answer. There are no guarantees when it comes to time. I always do my best to get to my appointments at least 5-10 minutes beforehand. Now, there are situations that come up that may require me to be late or have to cancel. These can include extended time with the last client or unforeseen circumstances like a traffic accident, inclement weather or emergency. Either way, I will keep you in the loop if I am going to be late. Or we can reschedule if you'd like.
If you need additional information, have questions or simply can't figure out what you're doing, please don't hesitate to email me at: NatureCoastNotaryFL@gmail.com or call at: 352-616-7441. I will help you as soon as I can.
We take precautions to ensure everyone's safety. If you require us to wear a mask when we meet you, please let us know during your booking or when we call to confirm. Rest assured, all of my supplies are sanitized after every customer visit.
